Moscow 1931 Closeup portrait of a Russian Orthodox priest
Маргарет Бурк-Уайт была первой из иностранных фоторепортеров, кому разрешили снимать жизнь Советского Союза. Она увидела и великие стройки, и голодную Сибирь, и очереди к Ленину, и локомотив "Сталин", и зарождающуюся советскую моду, и советскую детвору.
Так возникла серия снимков, а потом и целая книга “Взляд на Россию”. Комментарии под снимками принадлежат самой Маргарет.
Маргарет считается первой женщиной-фотокорреспонденткой, ее биография заслуживает отдельного поста, который я сделаю позже. А сейчас - серия постов, которая познакомит с ее работами.
